First off, apologies for the recent lack of posts. I have been cooking, but unfortunately nothing blog-worthy. I tried slow-cooking some pork shoulder for tortillas  – following a recipe I’d been meaning to try for a while. Well it was flawed on many accounts and it become one of those oh-I-knew-I-should-have-followed-my-instincts-instead-of -following-that-lousy-recipe meals. We made the best of those leftovers for a few nights and since then David’s been traveling, which I used as an excuse to feed my Chinese takeout craving that rears its head every so often. Which leads me to this non-recipe-based post.
